2/3 cup softened butter
1 cup corn syrup
6 tablespoons liquid honey
3 eggs
1 teaspoon vanilla
7 ounces semi-sweet baking chocolate, melted
2 cups cake flour
3 teaspoons baking powder
1 teaspoon salt
½ cup milk
Preheat oven to 350° F
Grease two 9-inch square cake pans, and dust with flour
Mix together the softened butter, corn syrup and honey. Beat well.
Add the eggs, one at a time, beating well after each addition.
Add vanilla and chocolate to batter, and mix well.
Combine flour, baking powder and salt, and add to the batter, alternately with the milk.
Place the mixture in two greased and dusted 9-inch square baking pans.
Bake for 25 to 30 minutes.
